Lola Turns 3!

This is a VERY late post due to some technical difficulties. Lola's birthday was April 7th. We had her party the following Saturday here at our house.

Luckily, my sister was here and decorated most of the cake for me. She has mad cake decorating skills.
It was a Care Bear themed party. Lola's 2 favorite little girlfriends came, Ella and Caroline. Her friend Braden came too, and Lots and Lots of friends and family.

Thanks to everyone who came to share her special day with us.

Deacon Samuel Myatt

Baby Deacon is here! He was born Tuesday, April 1st at 6:20 pm. He weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces and was 21 inches long. Every prayer for an easy delivery and a healthy baby was answered.
We went to the hospital Tuesday morning for induction, and labor was less than 10 hours total! (Lola's was 28 hours.) The anesthesiologist did a great job with my epidural and I had minimal pain. The nurses and my doctors at Covenant were wonderful. It felt like I had undivided attention from my labor nurse, even though they were really busy that day. The transition nurse that is there for the baby after delivery was so awesome and I can't thank her enough for spending so much time with Deacon. He had a lot of "boogers" that needed to be suctioned out, and he pooped on her at least 3 times!

We got to have him in the room with us as much as we wanted! It was so neat to have him with us after delivery and get to hold him.
We were really thrilled at how much he looks like Dean. They look almost identical when they are sleeping. He resembles Lola's baby pictures too.

Lola is excited, of course, and she is trying really hard to be a big helper. She sings "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" to him when he starts crying.
Chilling out in the hospital.
I can tell he likes being at home. He is more alert and eats much better. He sleeps well too. We are so happy to have him here with us.
