What have we been up to?

This week Lola has been in the Dallas area making the rounds to see all of her grandparents. (Or "parents" as she calls them.)

Deacon and I have been chilling out together during the day, and he and his Daddy have had a grand old time at night while I am working. I worked extra this week, and he also stayed with his great aunt and great grandmothers some. He has been such a good boy-he is so easy to take care of. We forgot how "easy" it is with just one kid.

Tonight we will meet Lola at Dean's family reunion. Hopefully I will have pictures from the weekend.

Caution!!!

This is what 2 kids can do to your house in the time span of 1 day.
My floors were swept a mere 24 hours before this photo was taken.
And they have since been swept again!

New Tattoos

Deacon told me he wanted a tattoo like Daddy's. So this morning, I took him down town and he got one! What a great mother-son bonding experience!

Actually, it came in the kids meal we had for lunch.
It's temporary.

Lola got one too. She was being too much of a goofball to be still for her picture.

Today, I learned something: Going grocery shopping close to lunch time/nap time is a BAD idea.

Feels Like Summer

It has started to feel like summer to me not only because of the heat, but because we have grilled out this week for dinner.
These are my favorite thing in the world. Besides chocolate.
The kids love their swingset and to splash in the baby pool.
And, Deacon had his first Sonic slushee.
Summer's here!

Lola's End of School Program

I finally found my camera. Sorry this post is so late-the program was on May 21st!
Lola's class performing "The More We Get Together"
(Sorry about the quality of this picture. It shows you how far back we were sitting-you can't even see Lola. She was in the back right corner.)
Us afterwards
Lola with both of her Great-Grandmothers.
Hopefully I will get a lot of posting done this week to catch up.
